About the artist:

Having trained in Fine Arts at Raja Ravi Verma College of Arts, MG Kumar specializes in creating textured paintings using the palette knife, beautifully capturing the places and faces of Asia. Through his unique blend of realism and impressionism, he breathes new life into ancient landscapes and time-honoured traditions. Over the past three decades, Kumar’s oil paintings have been exhibited globally and now adorn the walls of homes across Europe, the Americas, Asia and Australia. 

MG Kumar is a local artist based in Singapore who has actively contributed to Singapore’s art scene through his paintings of historic places that capture the nation’s heritage. He currently works with the art gallery, Aestheletic Fine Art, which is a registered local business.

MG Kumar has received endorsement by the National Library Board of Singapore for his active efforts to preserve Singapore heritage through his paintings. He has made key contributions to some of the largest local arts events such as those by the Poetry Festival Singapore and the Migrant Writers of Singapore.
